Founder Lee McChesney was a licensed real estate broker for over 50 years. He began his career in real estate in 1971 after he and his wife Marion and their two sons, Scott and Mark, moved to Vermont. Lee was named Realtor of the Year in 1979 while serving as president of the South Central Board of Realtors, and performed as state director of the Vermont Association of Realtors for many years. He graduated top ten in his class at Fort Schuyler Merchant Marine College with a BS in Economics and Marine Transport. A veteran of the US Navy, he was stationed in Hawaii the year it became a state (1959) and retired as full commander.
